A De Stijl–inspired watch is a natural fit for Unimatic and MoMA, both rooted in functional minimalism and bold visual language. De Stijl’s use of primary colors and geometric clarity aligns perfectly with Unimatic’s stripped-down, tool-watch aesthetic and MoMA’s legacy of championing radical, modern design. Together, they distill timekeeping to its purest, most expressive form.
Wearing a UNIMATIC x MoMA watch is more than a style choice - it’s a quiet connection to design history. Each piece reflects the shared values of Italian craftsmanship and MoMA’s dedication to modern art and culture. With only a limited number made, these watches offer a rare opportunity to own something that bridges functional design and artistic heritage - a thoughtful nod to those who value both form and meaning.

We choose each movement to match the unique character of the watch. Our Automatic models - typically powered by the NH35A or the SW200-1 - are driven by the natural motion of your wrist, honoring the heritage of traditional watchmaking. Meanwhile, our Toolwatch Series features high-precision, battery-powered calibers paired with our proprietary protection system, designed to withstand impacts and drops. For our chronograph models, we selected the VK31 movement: the current market offers very few automatic chronograph movements that combine reliability with accessible pricing, making this caliber the most dependable and practical choice for our purpose-built watches. A meca-quartz movement is a hybrid movement that combines quartz timekeeping with mechanical chronograph components.
Absolutely. Every UNIMATIC diver is water-resistant to 300 m (1000 ft) and individually tested to ensure perfect seal integrity. Each piece features a heavy-duty screw-down caseback, a screw-down crown with high-quality gaskets, and a 120-click mono-directional bezel, meeting and often exceeding professional diving standards.
The only precaution required before entering the water is to ensure the crown is fully screwed down, guaranteeing the watch maintains its complete water-resistant performance.
Whether it belongs to a limited edition or our permanent line, every UNIMATIC watch is individually numbered on the caseback. This unique ID serves as a mark of authenticity and craftsmanship, ensuring that your specific timepiece is one-of-a-kind. For limited runs, it marks its place in a finite series; for our core collection, it highlights our commitment to quality limiting it to a yearly production batch. Exclusivity is a pillar of our design philosophy.
They are built as modern tough tools. We use 316L surgical-grade stainless steel for the cases and double-domed, anti-reflective Sapphire crystals, which are virtually scratch-proof. Whether you are in a boardroom or the North Sea, the watch is designed to withstand impact and harsh environments.
We use high-grade Super-LumiNova (typically C3 or BGW9) on our dials and hands. The luminous material charges from exposure to any light source and then releases a strong, long-lasting glow, ensuring reliable visibility whenever you need it.
